Eggnog, a classic holiday favorite, has been cherished for centuries, combining rich, creamy flavors with seasonal spices. Traditionally enjoyed during wintertime, it’s a beverage that brings a sense of comfort to a cold night. Our bartenders here at Sidecart have taken this beloved concoction and made our own rendition with twist.
The Perfect Boozy Eggnog Recipe:
- 3 large eggs
- 4.5 oz (by volume) or 450 grams (by weight) superfine sugar (NOT powdered!)
- 3 oz anejo tequila
- 4 oz Amontillado sherry
- 9 oz whole milk
- 6 oz heavy cream
- Fresh nutmeg, for garnish
- In a stand mixer, beat eggs on low speed until smooth.
- Slowly add sugar until incorporated and dissolved.
- Add tequila, sherry, milk and cream.
- Refrigerate overnight
- Garnish with fresh nutmeg before serving.
