Why Eggnog?

Eggnog, a classic holiday favorite, has been cherished for centuries, combining rich, creamy flavors with seasonal spices. Traditionally enjoyed during wintertime, it’s a beverage that brings a sense of comfort to a cold night. Our bartenders here at Sidecart have taken this beloved concoction and made our own rendition with twist.

The Perfect Boozy Eggnog Recipe:

  • 3 large eggs
  • 4.5 oz (by volume) or 450 grams (by weight) superfine sugar (NOT powdered!)
  • 3 oz anejo tequila
  • 4 oz Amontillado sherry
  • 9 oz whole milk
  • 6 oz heavy cream
  • Fresh nutmeg, for garnish
  1. In a stand mixer, beat eggs on low speed until smooth.
  2. Slowly add sugar until incorporated and dissolved.
  3. Add tequila, sherry, milk and cream. 
  4. Refrigerate overnight
  5. Garnish with fresh nutmeg before serving.
